Paula Jones, Vocals & Percussion:

Paula has been singing and writing music virtually her entire life.  She and her songwriting partner, John Ragin, have composed over 100 “Americana” style songs together, and have completed four cd projects, with more in the works.

As a singer/performer, Paula was the lead female vocalist for The Powerplay band, an Atlanta based party band, during their entire and very successful run – for 18 years.  She started her own entertainment business in 2010, primarily performing for Retirement/Assisted Living communities all around the Atlanta on a regular basis.

Paula has a wide range of styles and genres that she enjoys singing, including classic rock, rhythm & blues, and country.  She provides lead and harmony vocals with spot-on pitch, and is accomplished at providing accompanying percussion.

In Zummo, Paula is excited about singing the kind of rock and blues that get the party started and kept going.  Her energy and love for what she’s doing onstage always gets people dancing and having fun.

Russell Baum, Lead Guitar and Vocals:

The talented lead guitarist of Zummo -- hails originally from Memphis, Tennessee, home of the Blues & Rock and Roll.  Russ started playing guitar at age 10, and hasn’t  stopped since. He played all around Memphis for more than 10 years with several blues-inspired bands, before moving to Marietta in 1992.  Russ has played his smokin’ riffs for several blues & rock bands around Atlanta.  He’s a natural entertainer on stage and loves entertaining crowds with his spot-on renditions of favorite rock songs and sweet vocal harmonies.

Michael Carroll, Key and Vocals:

Mike is a northern transplant to the Atlanta area hailing from Buffalo, New York.  He began playing keyboard instruments at the age of six learning accordion from his uncle.  Throughout his childhood he continued his study of music on both piano and organ.  By the age of fourteen he was playing professionally at small parties and gatherings.  He picked up piano in high school and began playing night clubs and larger venues throughout the Buffalo area.  Eventually his musical style evolved into synth instruments as well further expanding his capabilities in the music scene around town.  By the early 80’s he was playing regularly in Clubs and Hotels throughout Western NY and Southern Ontario, Canada.  In 1991 he co-founded the band The Boys of Summer, who in 2015 were inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.  The “Boys” as they are known became one of the biggest and most highly sought after local acts for clubs, festivals and private parties.  They are still going strong today.  In 2012, Mike was asked to join a Three Dog Night Tribute Band from Buffalo by the name of ELI.  ELI included multiple members of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame as well.  In 2015, Mike relocated his family from Western New York to Atlanta taking a hiatus from playing music until things settled down.  He is thoroughly looking forward to playing again with his new bandmates, and making his mark now in the Atlanta music scene.
